Dead Pelt, 2002

Dead Pelt links two larger installations, Reflection Loop and Live Pelt, forming a conceptual bridge for the three installations of Bibiota. Dead Pelt is an elaborate outfit made for Mrs Santa Claus using the discarded pelts of the 400 Furbies in The Pool of Reflection Loop. It clothes consumerism and human vanity in the furry artifice of animatronic robots.
